Boundaries...learn them and set them.

Boundaries has been my most frequent used word for 2020. My tolerance has been tested for years but I have finally found ways to protect myself. I simply say wtf needs to be said. Now, that usually results in me being the bad guy but I hold the title with style and grace. Not everything can be said with sugar coated words and heart emojis. I hand it to you straight.  Taking full of advantage of being a grown ass woman, I can dictate what I chose to entertain. Example, my family are all at a distance so I receive weekly phone calls of new antics. I begin to notice my lack of concern or interest with certain topics. I...

Girl I'm over it...ya hear me

This collection (lack thereof) is pissing me off. I have faced so many obstacles only to present 3 robes in phase 1. Smiling through it and celebrating my small wins anyway but, damn.

New Body... Who Dis?

Listen, y'all are going to get whatever body I give. My weight fluctuates worse than my bank account, I can't keep up. If you're true to me than you know through reading some of my posts my struggles with my frame. It becomes difficult to photo myself for this website. I then reflect for whom and what I do it for. The love I receive from women I don’t know is heartfelt even through my DM’s. I have IG sisters that not only shop we me but we keep up with one another on the regular. We have shared stories, testimonies, advice, and tears through my journey. They...

Grandma....you did this

"I don't pick my clothes out the night before. I just wake up and put on what I feel. Especially if I don't have to iron it."     - Grandma J   Every day I get dressed I ask myself, what would Grandma wear? Everything I am is a reflection of her, especially in style. Some children get their brothers/sisters/cousins hand me downs. I got Grandma's. Liz Claiborne suits (like the one photoed), Ralph Lauren slacks, Talbot's blouses. Nothing but quality.  She is behind my vintage persona. We bond over the racks of thrift stores. Grandma still til' this day looks like money but doesn't spend much on her wardrobe at all. She knows we are one and the same so...
